Model Highlights
The 2021 G80 is available in RWD standard, and AWD. The powerplant of your choice is between two engine types. The previously standard V6 has been replaced by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder producing 300 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque. As with rivals, the G80 offers an upgraded motor for those craving more performance, a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 375 hp and 391 lb-ft on tap. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Standard equipment includes heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 20-inch wheels, and leatherette covered front seats. Buyers get a choice of wood or metal paneling on the interior, standard automatic climate control, a leather wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth and voice command control interfaces, LED interior lighting, a proximity-based entry system and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The audio system includes a 14.5-inch central infotainment screen incorporating the Genesis Integration Controller software specifically for Valet mode and other convenience feature systems. A 21-speaker Lexicon stereo system is just another example of the many updates from last year's model. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are also standard. This vehicle is equipped with a number of advanced safety features including anti-lock brakes, a backup-camera, electronic stability, traction control and 10 airbags as standard fare. These new safety systems aimed at reducing the stress of driving also include Front cross-traffic alert and braking, smart cruise control, remote smart parking assistance, and Highway Driver Assist II. Forward collision-avoidance and blind-spot collision avoidance are also included rounding out the safety features of the 2021 G80.
